Gugulethu Mbatha (better called Gugu-Mbatha-Raw) is an British actor and film actress that became popular after she appeared in the BBC show "Doctor Who", which is a British Sci-Fi TV series. Gugu earned a significant amount of fame by appearing in the role of Tish Jones, the daughter of a major character called Martha Jones, in the series. Her father worked as a used car seller. Her mother was a German Immigrant, who immigrated to her home in United States in 1958. Breast cancer was discovered in the year 1989. Handler died 10 years later after fighting cancer. Handler was brought up in Reform Judaism by her father and grandfather, who were Jewish. Handler grew up in a good neighborhood and enjoyed a pleasant childhood. At the age of 19 she moved into Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Handler was a professional actress to support her. But, at aged 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, because she realized her story telling skills. Handler began her professional career joining the all-female Oxygen cast, which was a part of a television show named Girls Behaving Badly. This series was known for its hidden camera as well as practical joke. This reality TV show ran from 2002 until 2005. The handler was later employed in many other shows like Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice The Practice, and Weekends at D.L. Handler began her professional career as a reporter on The Tonight Show. The biggest break for Handler came in 2006, when she began hosting her program on E! called The Chelsea Handler show. The show ran for 2 seasons. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the next time in the United States. The stand-up shows she has performed have been broadcast on VH1, Comedy Central's Premium Blend as well as HBO. In 2010 she hosted the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were made public.
